Finding the right accommodation arrangement

Accommodation support begins with understanding the participant’s needs, goals, routines, preferred living environment and required staffing. We discuss what type of arrangement is being sought and confirm whether Sherpa’s available options are suitable. Availability can change, so every enquiry is assessed individually.

Support in the home

Depending on the agreed service model and NDIS funding, support may include assistance with personal care, meals, household routines, community participation and daily skill development. Where clinical or high-intensity needs are present, we assess the required capability and oversight before confirming services.

Choice, compatibility and safety

A successful living arrangement depends on more than a room. We consider accessibility, communication, routines, support requirements and compatibility with any other residents. Participants and their representatives are involved in decisions, and agreed supports are documented before commencement.
